LYNX.sc DS-3 (45 Mbps) Capacity License-Free Digital Microwave Radios

The LYNX.sc DS-3 microwave radio provides wireless full-duplex DS-3 connectivity (~45 Mbps) under emerging license-free regulations (U-NII, LE-LAN). Under these regulations, this radio requires no frequency coordination or licensing, resulting in "instant" connectivity of DS-3 access for line-of-sight distances beyond 15 miles.

DS-3 connections transport 672 full-duplex channels of 64 kbps voice and/or data traffic. In addition, the LYNX.sc DS-3 provides a wayside T1 connection for an additional 24 voice/data channels.

LYNX.sc radios provide wire-speed connections that are more reliable than fiber or wire. These radios provide significant cost savings compared to leased-line connections and also allow fast and easy connections where wire or fiber access is impossible or too costly. 

Applications
As a leased-line alternative, the LYNX.sc DS-3 is ideal for backbone and spur connections of PCS and cellular systems. In addition, ISPs and CLECs can establish new point of presence and direct connections to enterprise customers with this solution. Enterprises may also connect WAN and/or PABX connections between locations using the LYNX.sc DS-3. 

The LYNX.sc DS-3 establishes instant DS-3 transport for temporary/emergency situations as well as permanent revenue-generating installations. Also, it can easily scale up the capacity of radios in existing multi-T1 paths operating in the 5.725-5.850 GHz ISM band.
