There is still a wide expansion of DSL deployments to provide high-speed connectivity to residential subscribers. Additionally, many of the early DSL deployments, which originally used copper for backhaul requirements are now running out of capacity, or do not provide adequate service levels. Both of these applications require a high-speed reliable backhaul solution, which can extend existing infrastructure. To facilitate these deployments we solve the operators critical backhaul needs with an ultra low latency, native Ethernet solution with scalability from 10 Mbps to 200 Mbps. The AirPair product has licensed options where predictability and availability are important drivers. Additionally, AirPair has an unlicensed option in the relatively low-interference 24 GHz unlicensed band. The AirPair product also provides support for legacy DSL deployments with T1/E1 interface options. For high availability deployments, AirPair is available in a Mesh configuration. Enlarge Image The inherently low latency performance of the product ensures that in a multi hop network architecture, customers located on the outer edge of the service area are not negatively affected by accumulated latency. With the increased demand for high value packet voice solutions AirPair natively support an 802.1p multi queue base packet prioritization mechanism ensuring that systems optioned at speeds below 100 Mbps delivers differentiated service over the radio path. Typical DSL Applications include: - Remote Connectivity to new DSL deployments
- DSLAM capacity upgrades exceeding existing copper backhaul capabilities
- Link hardening for existing DSL backhaul
