BreezeACCESS V
BreezeACCESS V, the newest addition to the BreezeACCESS family, operates in the in the 5GHz license-free ISM band delivering high-speed wireless Internet access. BreezeACCESS V operates in the 5.725-5.875GHz and 5.15-5.35GHz unlicensed bands and is best suited for, service providers. Incorporating the same mature, feature-rich and well-established BreezeACCESS II components, BreezeACCESS V is the ideal network expansion for broadband wireless access operators offering voice and IP-based services.
Utilizing the unlicensed 5 GHz band permits use of the spectrum without the expense of buying or applying for a license, allowing ISPs to quickly enter and compete in the market at relatively low costs. With an exceptionally low initial investment, BreezeACCESS V is the ideal solution for new operators wanting to build their customer base. Once the wireless infrastructure is in place, it can be scaled upward to support thousands of subscribers per cell.
BreezeACCESS V operates in Time Division Duplex (TDD) mode utilizing proven Frequency Hopping technology to deliver a solution that is highly secure, robust and reliable. Optimized for data and voice communications, BreezeACCESS V allows ISPs and ASPs to rapidly and economically deploy their networks and offer highly attractive, competitive services to their clients.
BreezeACCESS V is the ideal network expansion as well as backhauling for congested 2.4GHz locations facilitating a winning combination of co-located 2.4GHz & 5GHz, to maximize revenues with existing investment. BreezeACCESS V enables quick, demand-based deployment using the same familiar and reliable BreezeACCESS II system using the same infrastructure, the same familiar installation and configuration (same cell location for existing BA II users) and the same system architecture, features and management.
Furthermore, BreezeACCESS V is an optimal solution for the lower 5GHz UNII/HIPERLAN bands (5.15-5.35GHz)

Customer Premises Equipment
The BreezeACCESS V series of Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) features data-only or data and voice and capabilities. Single user (1D), 8-user (8D) or bridge (BD) data port options are available.
All CPE options connect to the subscriber's data equipment via a standard IEEE 802.3 Ethernet 10-BaseT (RJ 45) interface. Telephony services are supported using a standard POTS (RJ 11) interface connected directly to the subscriber's telephone. Data, power, management and control signals are transmitted from the indoor unit to the outdoor unit via a coaxial cable.
The outdoor units feature two antenna options, delivering enhanced network flexibility, as follows:
SU-A unit
Features a radio module and integrated flat panel antenna.
SU-E unit
Features a radio module and RF connector for a separate external antenna.
SU-A Series
Subscriber unit with indoor module and outdoor radio unit with integrated antenna.
SU-A-1D Supports a single Ethernet device
SU-A-BD Supports a LAN (bridge)
SU-E Series
Subscriber unit with indoor module and outdoor radio unit with detached antenna (sold separately).
SU-E-1D Supports a single Ethernet device
SU-E-BD Supports a LAN (bridge)
SU-A Series + Voice
Subscriber unit with indoor module and outdoor radio unit with integral antenna. The unit includes a regular telephone interface.
SU-A-1D1V Supports a single Ethernet device and a regular telephone interface
SU-A-BD1V Supports a LAN (bridge) and a regular telephone interface
SU-E Series + Voice
Subscriber unit with indoor module and outdoor radio unit with detached antenna (sold separately). The unit includes a regular telephone interface.
SU-E-1D1V supports a single Ethernet device and a regular telephone interface
SU-E-BD1V supports a LAN (bridge) and a regular telephone interface
Base Station Equipment
The BreezeACCESS V indoor/outdoor Access Unit configuration includes an indoor module and outdoor unit that contains the radio and antenna units. Data, power, management and control signals are transmitted from the indoor unit to the outdoor unit via a coaxial cable.
All Access Units are connected to the subscriber's data equipment via a standard IEEE 802.3 Ethernet 10BaseT (RJ 45) interface.
BreezeACCESS V provides two types of Base Station configurations, delivering superior flexibility in architecture and network deployment.
Base Station Shelf
The 19" Base Station shelf (BS-SH) can hold up to seven BS-AU modules 2.4GHz (II) or 5.7GHz (V), providing reliable access to maximum numbers of subscribers and full-scale redundancy. The BS-AU modules can be synchronized to ensure optimal utilization of the available frequency spectrum.
AU-E-BS unit
Features an indoor module and outdoor unit, which contains a radio unit and an RF connector for a separate external antenna.
Stand-Alone "Micro Cell" Base Units
The Micro Cell Access Units are stand-alone modules that connect to the same outdoor units as described in the Indoor/Outdoor Access Units configuration.
AU-E-NI units
Features an indoor module and outdoor unit, which contains a radio unit and an RF connector for a separate external antenna.
BS-SH
19" chassis that can contain up to 7 (1 redundant) BS-AU modules and power supply modules.
AU-E-BS
Access Unit includes a module to be inserted into the base station chassis as well as an outdoor unit with an external antenna (sold separately).
AU-E-NI
Stand-alone Access Unit with external antenna (sold separately).
