CDQPrima Application Note #9
Application: Use your CDQPrima as an automatic, full fidelity backup STL over ISDN.
Your CDQPrima can be used to monitor your full-time STL and automatically switch from standby to active status should trouble arise.
CDQPrima's powerful control processor and Prima Logic Language, let you monitor your transmitter site and automatically dial into your studio to obtain program audio should your main STL fail.
CDQPrima's optional opto-relay card lets you monitor the alarms generated by your STL. The CDQPrima will establish a backup connection to the studio using ISDN and switch the audio to the transmitter automatically. Using CDQPrima's built in silence/audio detectors, you can even monitor off-the-air audio for trouble detection.
| System Requirements: | ISDN at the studio and transmitter sites, 128 kb/s minimum for stereo, 64 kb/s for mono.
2 CDQPrima codecs equipped with internal ISDN terminal adapters. The transmitter site requires installation of an optional opto/relay board, part number A1100.
