System Description
A Reliable, Full-Duplex Link the SPEEDCOM E1/T1 product
line provides a highly reliable, full-duplex, wireless, voice and/or
data link for point-to-point communication applications. Properly
engineered paths can support data rates up to 2.048 Mbps over
distances of up to 50 km.

Since the SPEEDCOM E1 /T1 uses 2.4 GH frequency it qualifies
for operation under the rules established for operation in the
unlicensed Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) band. This
allows data links to be established in a matter of days without
licensing and coordination delays.
Easy Installation, Flexible
The SPEEDCOM E1/T1 was designed with ease of installation
and flexible equipment configurations in mind. The RF unit is
located as close as possible to the antenna. A single coax cable
is all that is required to connect the RF unit to the modem. All
necessary interface signals, as well as DC power the RF unit, are
carried on this single cable.
User Friendly Operation
Ease of operation and configuration are key features of the
SPEEDCOM E1/T1. A front panel liquid crystal display provides
users with a menu presentation of modem and RF status and
current configuration. Status information available includes signal quality, channel plan,
fault summary, and loopback indications. Front panel switches allow the user to enter the
configuration information locally. Configurable items include data rate, clock source,
spreading codes, and line codes. LEDs provide indications of power on, TX and RX data,
demod lock and summary fault.
Rugged Outdoor RF Unit
The RF unit is housed in an environmentally protected enclosure
designed to operate outside at temperatures from 40C to +60C. The SPEEDCOM Single E1/T1
has unique channel plans which allow two completely independent full-duplex links to be
supported over the same path. Channel plans can be configured in the field by qualified
technicians. Power options include AC (90-260 VAC) and DC (up to 56 VDC).
